I'd like to share what we did to successfully battle my mother's ovarian cancer. The doctors didn't offer great hope and threw the usual offerings of removal (operate) and chemo. We quickly learnt that the medical fraternity don't like being questioned. We knew we had to do more, and mum is living proof that you can do more using nutrition. Tino, Manly, Australia, April 2011

I have struggled with weight gain for over 10 years. At 32, I weighed 91kg and was desperate. I had tried all the diets...Everyone thought I didn't have the will power. I felt useless. A friend suggested I test for food intolerance. Once I discovered I was intolerant to 14 different foods I hit the jackpot. Thanks to your health program I lost 2kg a week for the first 3 weeks and I'm still losing 1kg a week after 12 weeks...I'm not even counting calories...just avoiding the foods that are toxic to my body. Caroline, Brighton, UK  8 July 2010

Thank you for helping us test our daughter for food intolerance. Her ADHD is a thing of the past. Dean & Marie, Austin, Texas. August 2010

Here's your chance to read up on the research that we have done on your behalf. Knowledge is what can lead to action and then improved health. Whether you're wanting to prevent future illness or cure current symptoms or simply manage a condition more naturally rather than taking drugs, you'll find lots of helpful information in the articles below;

1. How to Tell if your Child Is Suffering From Food Intolerance; Please click here to read article.

2. The Government Can Cure Cancer! (and many modern illnesses)

  1. Our Medical Industry cannot help our health. The increase of chronic illness and even minor but niggling symptoms in our society is skyrocketing because doctors are trained in drug therapy rather than nutrition. This means they mask the symptoms/health condition with drugs and do not find the cause or trigger of the illness.

  2. Our Pharmaceutical industry cannot help our health. They continue to pay for research to show how their drugs help health conditions but who's paying for the research to show how we can prevent the illness in the first place?

  3. Why is this bad for our health? Because it concentrates on masking symptoms and illness with drugs and these in turn can trigger other health concerns. IT DOESN'T LOOK AT THE CAUSE of HEALTH CONDITIONS. If we know the cause, we can stop the illness.

Up to 70% of us have an undetected food intolerance. When you continue to eat foods which you're intolerant to then minor symptoms (mood swings, headaches, skin rashes, eczema, insomnia, hay fever, sinusitis, aches and pains) become major and chronic illnesses (inability to lose weight, asthma, cancer, diabetes, arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome, heart conditions, high blood pressure & cholesterol, strokes, Alzheimer's, infertility, Dementia). Cure the food intolerance (which you can do in a matter of weeks) and you stop the trigger for these chronic conditions.

Why is food intolerance so prevalent in our society compared to 50 or more years ago? There are many reasons but here are the big 3:

1. Chemical and toxin exposure - in our shampoo, washing up liquid, cosmetics, soap, laundry powder, and in our food in the form of pesticides
2. Stress - we all know that our lives have become more stressful
3. Overuse of antibiotics and medications such as the contraceptive pill which have affected the health of our gut, hence triggering food intolerance

More and more research is coming out to prove this. But the doctors are not trained in nutrition, the pharmaceutical companies need you to take more drugs, not less (and they cannot patent broccoli!) and government loves the income they generate from the system currently in place. If only the government would accept that lost revenue from pharmaceutical industries will be made up by the reduced need for public health services. If people can heal themselves through testing for food intolerances and healing those intolerances, then their medical needs will drastically drop. If the government told us what I'm telling you, we could all see levels of cancer and other chronic disease become less prevalent. Let's turn the clock back 150 years but at the same time, enjoy what medical science does give us - emergency surgery, ability to mend broken bones and deliver babies in a hygenic environement - NOT more drugs to mask symptoms.

Only you, and you alone, can help your health because the chance of change is unlikely unless we each take responsibility and take action. At the age of 37 I refused to accept that I had arthritis and there was nothing to be done except to take very strong pain killers which gave me ulcers and take a medication which was going to affect my bone marrow and iron levels. Then there were the steroid injections into the joints when the pain got too bad. Only 6 months after this prognosis, I was on the road to recovery thanks to following a health program. I was taking no medication at all and pain was minimal. My condition has not worsened 2 years later. Multiple food intolerances from the usual gluten, wheat, soy and dairy to more unusual broccoli, oats, ginger, soy and lamb to name a few, meant that my body was fighting the inflammation caused by unknowingly eating these foods which I was intolerant to. Depending on genetics and body make up, some people will develop other chronic illness like bowel cancer, obesity, high blood pressure and more. I developed arthritis.

And if you had your food intolerance whilst pregnant or breastfeeding, you're very likely to have caused it to trigger in your child. My 8 month old son had the worst asthma seen in a baby of his age. Years of drugs, operations, procedures and specialists resulted in a bit of control over the condition. Once I changed his diet (cutting out dairy and many fruits) and also reduced the chemical exposure he had (cleaning products, shampoos, laundry powder, dishwashing liquid, air sprays) plus added specific high quality supplements, his recovery was complete. Homeopathy was also a huge help and still is. Once he started on this new program, it only took a year for him to be entirely off all ashtma medication (which he'd been on for a whole 3 years).

How can you take control of your health and that of your family? There's a lot of information out there, often contradictory, and it takes research, organization and commitment to decide to act. I've made it easy with a downloadable AU $45 food intolerance I.D. Kit (there's one for breastfeeding mums, babies, young children and adults)  followed by a AU $55 twelve week Online Health Program which takes you by the hand in a step by step plan:

We've kept the prices low so that we can educate and help as many people as possible. The more people who know and take action, the more likely change can occur. If we don't buy the drugs because we don't need them as much and the medical system becomes less strained, the government will find it easier to shift to a nutrition focused medical industry and not rely on the profits of the pharmaceutical industries. Perhaps there'll be more research into nutrition and its link to health conditions. But the more important fact is that we'll be a healthier nation. You can take control of your health and manage or cure your symptoms or illness. Take a look at the many case studies on our website, look at the health conditions and symptoms you can manage or cure, or do some independent research yourself. You'll see there are thousands out there agreeing and The Contented Body is providing a low cost program to everyone to ACT NOW.

3. Food intolerance is now at epidemic numbers. It can trigger niggly symptoms and chronic health conditions......

Up to 70% of us have undetected food intolerance & it's making us sick!

Left untreated it can lead to chronic health conditions such as diabetes, cancer, arthritis, ADHD, asthma, IBS, infertility, heart conditions, insomnia, depression, Alzheimer's and many more. It can lead to less serious symptoms like back ache, bloating, flatulence, high cholesterol & blood pressure, PMS, skin disorders, headaches, cramps and more - these are warning signs which, if ignored, can lead to the far more serious and chronic conditions.

Modern medicine tends to treat the symptom and not the cause of these conditions. What they don't tell you is that medication isn't the only answer. Get your FREE REPORT about what your doctor won't tell you on the www.thecontentedbody.com

So what can you do?  If you suffer from any chronic health condition or have mild, niggling, recurrent symptoms then you may be suffering from food intolerance.  The first step is to find out whether food intolerance is compromising your health and then identify exactly what you are intolerant to.  How? Either visit a local nutritionist or visit http://www.thecontentedbody.com/  and buy a Food Intolerance I.D. Kit or a pin prick test which can be performed at home. The I.D. Kit is delivered to you at your email address instantly. The pin prick test is sent to your home address. These sort of elimination tests are the only accurate way of testing for food intolerance. Many pin prick tests and blood tests are not always reliable and are often inconclusive (and therefore a waste of money). They can also limited in what they test for. What if you're intolerant to something unusual like pineapple, ginger or broccoli (yes it happens). We have a children's version of the I.D. Kit too, because children are affected too.

What if I, or my child, have a food Intolerance? Then you'll need a lot of help, advice and support to change your lifestyle and heal your body. It's not easy if you have to do all the research and get organised alone but it's easy to do - with the right knowledge and support. That's where our Health Program comes in.

Put it like this, when you want to lose weight you go on a weight loss program. When you want to heal naturally, you go on a health program.

What's a Health Program?

A three month time-tabled Health Program geared to give diet, lifestyle and nutritional information to address your health condition. The only way to heal naturally is to have the right nutrition for your condition and to reduce the toxins that your body is exposed to and can no longer cope with.  TOXINS!  What the chemical industry (and government) don't want you to know.

Big industry has a lot to answer for. Profit drives them and often it doesn't mean that the interests of the consumer are high on their list of priorities! Cheap materials, costs of being environmentally friendly, and other manufacturing methods mean that there are a lot of products we're all using on a daily basis, which are potentially very damaging to our health. The research is out there if you want to go and look - Cancer, Alzheimers, Infertility, ADHD, Asthma - these are being linked to toxins we absorb (breathing and on our skin) and ingest (food).

Therefore, each of us must take responsibility for educating ourselves about the environmental hazards that are present in and around our own homes. Despite the fact that they already know about endocrine disruptors (toxins that affect our hormones and therefore many aspects of our health), the relevant industries prefer to keep us all ignorant of the harm caused by the many products we use in every area of our houses, properties, and workplaces. These range from cleaning products, paints and glues, lawn care products and pet supplies to auto products, art supplies, cosmetics and foods. Especially vulnerable to these toxic products are unborn children.

Numerous studies have proven that these toxic substances are making us sick but these studies are not publicized. They are there though!

Below are some of the products to consider changing in order to reduce you and your family's exposure to yet more toxins which are filling our blood stream, overloading our livers and kidneys and causing toxemia in our bodies - which then leads to disease and illness.

1. Chemicals around the home and garden

Very few of the following substances have been tested properly for safety, but they have been added to our food, water and cleaning products without our consent and usually without informing us of any dangers. There is a lot of intentional suppression in the chemical industry that adds approximately 1000 new chemicals each year. Despite the government acknowledging that these cleaning products are hazardous, the only regulation required are labels to indicate if they are combustible, corrosive, poisonous etc. Here are a couple of examples:

Teflon - a study by a US Environmental Working Group (2007) found chemicals in the umbilical cord blood of US-born infants including the Teflon chemical PFOA(perfluorooctanoic acid, also known as C8).  PFOA is a carcinogen that is toxic to the liver and immune system.  It also has hormonal effects including alteration of thyroid hormone levels thus causing developmental delay.  In another study in 2006, researchers at John Hopkins Hospital found PFOA in umbilical cord blood in 99% of 300 newborns tested. So you should either consider replacing your Teflon pots or use them only to cook at low temperatures, never overheat them and keep the kitchen well ventilated when cooking. Nonstick coatings become a health risk if over-heated

Chlorine - the first agent of chemical warfare was chlorine which was used in World War 2. In the name of huge profits, it was then added to our water supply and many other products. Chlorine is the number one cause of breast cancer and can be lethal, yet it is in most store-brand cleaners, including dishwasher detergents. The harmful effects are intensified when the fumes are heated i.e. when in the shower or bath. It is also in our drinking water, swimming pools, Jacuzzis, and many other places.

If you spray a room with disinfectant or insect repellent, it's been shown that those chemicals are present even 2 weeks later - waiting to be absorbed. We are what we eat and we are what we absorb (through the mouth and ingestion and through our skin).

The Contented Body publishes health programs for specific symptoms and health conditions whether it be simple skin disorders or PMS to chronic illness like arthritis, asthma and diabetes. The Health Program will explain which products to watch out for and how. It covers a whole list of household products including washing up liquid, dishwashing powder, laundry powder, insect spray, oven cleaner, furniture polish, bleach, carpet shampoo, antibacterial cleaners, air fresheners, cookware, lawn chemicals or garden pesticides and toilet bowl cleaners.

Luckily many health food shops are stocking less toxic cleaners but unfortunately it's an industry that's tricky and somewhat under-regulated. Labelling is misleading and sometimes downright wrong. Some ranges have certain products that are fine and other products that are not - but it's hard to know which ones are the toxin free ones unless you have a degree in chemistry.  If you don't know where to find safe alternative household cleaners that you can trust are all toxin free, then take a look at the Product List at http://www.thecontentedbody.com/.

2. Plastics

Over the last few decades the use of plastics around our homes has increased dramatically because they are cheap and durable compared to natural materials. But they are manufactured using toxic chemicals (including known carcinogens) which are released from the plastic long after it comes into our homes. The chemicals can be absorbed by contact with the plastic or by us breathing the chemicals they release. Short term effects on health include respiratory issues, headaches, nausea, lack of energy and probably a lot of effects that we aren't yet aware of  - who is doing the research? Long term effects are yet to be confirmed but it is thought that these chemicals cause cancer, liver and kidney damage and reproductive and hormone disruption.

Plastics are found extensively in the everyday household products in our homes, for instance, furniture, bedding, floor polish, paint, curtains, upholstery, soft furnishings and children's toys. Whilst not all plastics are as toxic as others (some emit no dangerous chemicals i.e. polyethylene, which is used for plastic food wrappings and food containers), some, such as PVC (polyvinylchloride) and polyurethane are a cause for concern. The manufacture of PVC uses chemicals (dioxin) suspected of causing cancer, kidney damage and disruption of the body's hormone system. There's evidence that these toxins disrupt the reproductive system too. In children, PVC exposure is thought to increase their risk of asthma and allergies. Exposure to polyurethane can cause respiratory problems and chemically induced asthma, as well as damage to the nervous system and cancer.

These plastics can't be recycled. Plastics sit in our landfills, and any plastic made in the future will too, emitting carcinogenic chemicals into the air, water and soil.If we breathe in carcinogenic chemicals from the air, or ingest them through the water we drink or food we eat, we can become very  ill. Nowadays we can't avoid them and often don't know they are there!

The Contented Body's Health Programs advise you on how to minimize your exposure to the bad plastics. The list of advice given is exhaustive, from paint and plastic water bottles to bedding and children's toys. You'll now know which tuppaware to buy, which water bottles to drink from (or re-use) and what those numbers printed on the bottom of plastic actually mean. Inform yourself and easily avoid these toxic materials.

3. Personal hygiene

Chemicals in makeup have been linked to cancer, immune dysfunction, depression and other illnesses. Read on and discover the chemicals that may be lurking in your eye shadow or personal care products like shampoo.

Here are just a couple of examples of widely used chemicals and their health risks.

Lauryl Sulfate:
Use: a foaming agent and emulsifier, this chemical is derived from petroleum and is often deceptively described as being extracted from coconuts. Found in shampoo, body and shower gels, bath salts and toothpaste.
Chemical names: also known as SLS and Sodium laureth sulfate (SLES).
HealthRisks: said to be a carcinogen which has been linked to kidney and liver damage. Other health risks include nervous-system disruption, eczema, and dermatitis as well as skin inflammation. It can also cause eye damage such as cataracts.

Paraben Preservatives:
Use: parabens are found in nail creams, foundations, concealers, mascara, facial masks, deodorants, sunscreen, hair-coloring products and conditioners. They function as a germicide and preservative.
Chemical names:  alkyl-p-hydroxybenzoates (methyl, propyl, butyl and ethyl).
Health Risks: parabens can disrupt hormones, especially estrogen, which can lead to cancer. They have been specifically linked to breast cancer and skin rashes.

Take a look at the back of your shampoo bottle or toothpaste when you're next using it. These chemicals are almost certainly present and you will be absorbing them every day! Your Health Program will list all the chemicals to avoid and why, and help you find affordable replacements.  If you find labelling difficult to understand then you can buy  chemical-friendly products that you can trust (including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, eye shadow, lipstick and mascara) at http://www.thecontentedbody.com/  Here you'll be safe in the knowledge that they don't contain chemical nasties which are linked to disease.

Reducing chemicals in our daily lives is another way to reduce the toxins in our body. If we can reduce the toxin overload on our body, we may be able to relieve symptoms in the short term and reduce disease in the future.  These toxins were not used 100 years ago and they can be avoided now too.

Food truths - What the food industry and giant supermarkets don't want you to know

This article serves to spotlight the problem with the food we buy at supermarkets. Some information you'll be aware of, but there's sure to be a few surprises....

  • Fruit is picked unripe to extend its supermarket shelf life. Natural sugars, vitamins and antioxidants are not allowed to develop. Fruit is up to 50% lower in nutrients than 50 years ago.
  • Thanks to the growing rise of chemical fertilizers and pesticides and to incentives to produce more food more quickly (profit again), modern crops are being harvested faster than ever before. This also means nutrients are not allowed to develop.
  • Another new farming method is monoculture farming - a practice where farms just grow one type of crop, or similar crops from the same family. This has led to soil-mineral depletion which affects the nutrient content of foods.
  • Supposed ‘fresh food' can be as much as 9 months old. Fruit is sprayed with anti-ripening chemicals so that they can be ripened ‘on demand'. The quality of food diminishes with each passing day.

  • Supermarket fruit and veg are often imported or have travelled up and down the country before making it on to the supermarket shelves, clocking up so-called 'food miles'. Apart from the fact the fruit and veg is not nutrient-rich, this has become a significant source of CO2 pollution, one of the gases which contributes to climate change.

  • Each time a pesticide is used many pests still survive. With each forthcoming generation of pests the strong survive until they have acquired total immunity to the pesticide that has been drenching the area. The same thing happens to the next pesticide that is used.

  • When the body is full of chemicals (dozens per day if you're eating your fruit and veg) it causes toxemia in the body. The liver cannot deal with this level of toxins and illnesses occurs as the body is not only toxic but fuelling on low nutrient foods.

  • If you have a food intolerance, you're likely to have a chemical sensitivity too. If the gut is permeable, letting in proteins from food, it will also let chemical toxins pass into the blood stream leading to chronic illness triggers.

  • And if you're pregnant, the risk to your unborn child is even greater. If your body is consuming daily toxins, they will cross the placenta to your baby.

  • Chemicals are also in all foods made with fruit and vegetables and, in fact, all foods that have been grown using pesticides and chemicals - so think strawberry jam, tinned tomatoes, apple sauce, orange juice, weetabix, salad dressing with garlic, frozen vegetables to name a few.

  • The meat we eat comes from animals that have eaten corn and other foodstuffs that have been grown using chemicals.

  • Washing and peeling will not help you avoid chemicals and actually makes the food less nutritious. Chemicals are absorbed into the flesh of the fruit or vegetable. Rinsing reduces but does not eliminate pesticides. Peeling helps, but valuable nutrients stored in the skin, or just below its surface, are then thrown away.

  • Most of the garlic sold in supermarkets is imported. As it enters the country, quarantine fumigate it with the poison methyl bromide. This is a killer poison, more destructive to the ozone layer than all banned CVC's. And we're consuming this toxin!
  • Supermarket strawberries, tomatoes and similar foods are bred to be tough and to last - not to be nutritious or tasty.

  • Bananas are blasted with heat to ripen them on demand. Heat destroys nutrients.
  • Read labels on staple groceries carefully. Packaging may boast the product has ‘zero trans fats' or ‘contains whole wheat' but that doesn't mean the product is a healthy one.  While the claims may be true, the product can still be loaded with salt, sugar and saturated fat, and lack fiber and other important nutrients.

  • Frozen vegetables and fruit are better and are the most nutritious? Wrong. You cannot freeze produce from being freshly picked. They have to be blanched first in boiling water for about two minutes. Heat destroys nutrients.

  • Avoid Propylene Glycol - it's used in floor cleaner and anti freeze but is also used in shop bought muffins and cakes to make them  fluffy. It's called 1520 on the labels.
  • Avoid products using lanolin. This used to be a safe product but as sheep are dipped into 16 different pesticides, lanolin has become toxic.

  • Many foods are genetically modified (genetically engineered) without appropriate labelling and indeed many groceries contain ingredients that have been genetically modified.

  • Sewerage sludge is the material left after raw human sewage has passed through wastewater treatment plantsand includes anything that goes down a drain in all residences, businesses, and industries, including factories that produce toxic substances. This is used on farmed crops without any regard for the impact on the crop grown or the surrounding neighbors and countryside.
  • The meat we eat (chicken, beef, pork) is full of antibiotics and growth hormones. When we eat meat, we ingest these hormones and antibiotics too.

  • Food irradiation is a form of food processing that can extend the shelf life and reduces spoilage of food. Most of the food in our diets is already approved by the authorities for irradiation: beef, pork, lamb, poultry, wheat, wheat flour, vegetables, fruits, eggs, seeds for sprouting, spices and herb teas. But there are health risks which we can tell you about.

  • Allergies & intolerances- many studies suggest that the massive rise in wheat and gluten and even peanut allergy and sensitivity is actually due to an allergy or intolerance to the chemicals on the foods and not the actual food.

We cannot trust the government, the farmers or the supermarkets - because they hide all these facts from us. They happily allow and profit from the use of pesticides, genetic engineering, antibiotics, growth hormones, sewage sludge as fertilizer, animal parts fed to animals, irradiation, and many other methods that common sense prohibits. What's worse is that using these methods is legalized by our governments!

Our governments always insist that the food supply is safe. Then it bans a high risk pesticide that's been on the market for decades. Alar was just such a pesticide - contaminating apples and everything made from apples - juice, sauce, pie fillings. But a decade after Alar was banned, apples are still sprayed with chemicals. Are we just waiting for the next pesticide to be banned and a ‘safer' one to come along?

When The Contented Body devised the Health Programs, we included a detailed section regarding toxins and chemicals and why they are bad for you and how they're affecting your health. More importantly, we guide you to show you how you can avoid these chemicals and buy more nutritious foods without it being expensive and we suggest how you can avoid GM foods too. We also teach you how to read food labels and list all the worst offenders when it comes to food additives. We have to vote with the choices we make if we are going to force the government, food industry and supermarkets to change their ways!

What have these magical minerals really got to do with our health? And why are we not getting enough of them anymore?

Health actually starts from the earth - that is the soil we grow our food in. If the soil is depleted of minerals, then the foods grown will also be depleted of minerals. Today's modern farming methods mean that the soil is no longer jammed packed full of the nutrients that are vital for our health. All carrots are not created equal! The carrot your great grandma  ate will have been of an entirely different quality than the carrots that are available to us today .

Due to the use of artificial fertilizers, toxic minerals actually take the place of the good minerals and these are detrimental to our health. For instance, artificial fertilizers contain nitrates which are known to be cancer-forming.  Cadmium, which is far more deadly than lead (think how lead was banned in paint years ago), is also found in artificial fertilizers. In terms of chemical structure, cadmium is very similar to zinc and they are regarded as chemical antagonists.  This means that the body mistakes cadmium for zinc and sends it to organs that require a lot of zinc - such as the prostrate.  High zinc intake can protect against the potentially toxic effects of chemical exposure, but if zinc levels are low then cadmium is extremely toxic.

The main toxic minerals in our society would be regarded as lead, mercury, cadmium, arsenic and aluminum.  All of these potentially toxic minerals have many common uses and possible contamination sources throughout our society.

There are thirteen essential (good) minerals: calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, chlorine, phosphorus, iron, copper, manganese, iodine, cobalt, zinc and molybdenum.

But why do we need minerals?

Minerals are essential to life, yet all too often people forget, or simply don't realize how extremely important minerals are. Minerals have a tremendous impact on the body, and when these minerals become deficient, for whatever reason, it can cause your body to do a total tail spin. Minerals are as important to the human body as breathing; without the proper amount of minerals our body would cease to function properly, and if the deficiency is severe enough it can and will result in death.

Minerals have an effect on nearly every single function in the body including:

Nerve cell signaling

Muscle contraction and relaxation

Body movement

Fluid balance

Enzyme and hormone production and function

Maintaining normal metabolism

Adding mechanical strength to bones

Acting as a reactor to many essential vitamins (allowing the vitamins to be used effectively)

Where can I find minerals?

They are usually found in fresh fruits and vegetables, raw nuts, legumes, beans, seeds, cereal grasses (the green food supplements) and whole grains. Other important sources of electrolyte minerals (those which enable the movement of fluids in and out of cells) include root vegetables, green leafy vegetables, chickpeas, lentils, kidney beans, onion, amaranth, brown rice, millet, quinoa, almonds, cashews, brazil nuts, coconut and chia seeds.

Do not eat processed foods as these are stripped of mineral content (as well as vitamins and fiber). Also do not drink black tea within 2 hours of a meal as the iron content inhibits the absorption of minerals.

Note that when you exercise, the body's demand for minerals increases so if you embark on an exercise plan, ensure you replace lost minerals (through urine and perspiration) with a good mineral supplement.

In order for minerals to be effectively absorbed, the digestive system must be working well. Food intolerance is a classic condition  which prevents the body from absorbing minerals adequately and so further health issues can arise when food intolerance is left undetected. Food intolerance can be cured as our health programs will illustrate.

Foods that promote absorption of minerals include pineapple, paw paw, kiwi fruit, grapefruit, ginger, lemon, lime, apple cider vinegar and raw foods.

Given that mineral content in our foods has declined so drastically, then you should consider supplementation with a good mineral supplement or green food powder.  To promote better digestion and absorption of those minerals, you should also take a good probiotic.  If you do not eat organic produce then you most definitely will benefit from these supplements.  Just ensure they are a good quality supplement with a high level of active ingredients and no synthetic substitutes.

All these supplements (all high quality and  toxin-free) and food intolerance I.D. Kits (home testing) can be purchased from http://www.thecontentedbody.com/ .

You can also match your symptoms with  the right health program for you. Whether it's recurring headaches, eczema, insomnia, digestive disorders, sinusitis & infections or something more chronic like diabetes, asthma, inability to lose weight or arthritis, there is an online health program devised for you. Go to http://www.thecontentedbody.com/for more information.

Are you, or a member of your family, suffering from Food Intolerance?

It's estimated that up to 70% of us have food intolerance or will get one at some point in our life. That's three people out of every family of four. This staggering figure has come about for many reasons but the main ones include an overload of stress, overuse of antibiotics and the contraceptive pill, exposure to chemicals in our foods and daily products like shampoo and detergents as well as eating too much processed food.

I suspect my food intolerances remained undiscovered for 12 years because I thought my symptoms were normal in a busy, modern girl's life. If I had treated and cured my food intolerance sooner, it is unlikely that I would have developed the arthritis in my fingers at the age of 37.

Regular or recurring symptoms should not be ignored. You won't get all of these symptoms, but if you recognize some of them in yourself or your child then you may be suffering from food intolerances, in which case  you should take note and take action. They include:

Stomach bloating, cramping and flatulence

Diarrhea and/or constipation

Headaches and migraines

Memory loss and fuzzy thinking

Depression or anxiety

Behavioral problems

Failure to thrive

Low immune function - lots of frequent colds and illnesses including ear infections & coughs

Mouth ulcers

Joint pain

Eczema, skin rashes and other disorders, itchy skin

Food cravings

Tiredness including chronic fatigue

Low energy levels/lethargy

Unexplained increase or decrease in weight

A high level of irritability and strong premenstrual symptoms

Infertility, miscarriage or  irregular menstrual cycles

Insomnia

Loss of libido

Thrush

These are warning signs from the body and if not acted upon, then these minor  symptoms can trigger chronic illness including

Cancer

Diabetes

Arthritis

Cardiovascular Disease

Obesity

Asthma

Stroke

High blood pressure

High cholesterol levels (not really an illness but a risk factor - we can keep it in if you want tho)

Alzheimer's

Dementia

ADHD

Multiple Sclerosis

Lupus

Osteoporosis

Liver Disease

Addison's Disease

So what should you do?

If you're suffering from any of these symptoms on a regular basis or you have been diagnosed with one of these health conditions, you should  find out whether you are suffering from  food intolerance.

You can choose to do a Food Intolerance I.D. Kit which is a 4 moduleprogram delivered to your email address. It involves an elimination diet, symptom diary and analysis of results

OR

You can do a Pinprick test in the comfort of your own home. The test is mailed to you and you return it to the lab and receive a full report about your food intolerancesThis is a quicker way of getting the answers you seek, but it is more expensive.

Once you have identified your food intolerances, then you need to eliminate those foods from your diet immediately. This may sound simple but many foods contain hidden ingredients. For instance, did you know that soy sauce and most salad dressings contain wheat? You also need to know how to re-introduce the foods you've been eliminating in the correct way so that you don't trigger symptoms again.

This is where The Contented Body's Health Programs come in. A 12 week program is delivered to your inbox every week giving you step by step guidance about what to eat, what you can use to substitute foods you can no longer eat, what to cook (there are over 200 recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks), what do do when eating out our travelling with a food intolerance, which exercise or alternative therapies will help your specific condition and what other lifestyle changes you can make to improve your health.

For minor symptoms you will get relief within a fortnight. For more chronic conditions it may take 4 weeks to start noticing improvements and then after 8 weeks you should notice a huge difference in your symptoms.  These improvements in your symptoms will be a real motivator for you to continue being in control of your health! My arthritis all but disappeared within 8 weeks and I came off my medication. 2 years later the disease has not spread to any other joints and I am still not on any medication. This was a miracle to me because at one stage I couldn't turn on taps or do up the buttons on my daughter's blouse without major pain.

So here's the 2 easy steps:

1.  Identify your food intolerance with a Food Intolerance test

2.  Heal  your food intolerance with a Health Program.

We've kept the prices really low so that we can help as many people as possible. Depending on which test you choose, the total price of the test and health program can be as low as $100. This is the same as one trip to a nutritionist yet you won't  need any appointments or follow up visits.

If you'd like some support or additional advice from a qualified nutritionist, you can book an email or telephone advice session with us for just $29.95.
